Tummy Trouble

Describes the bad days perfectly

It’s been about 2 months since I had my gallbladder removed and while some of my symptoms have gotten better, I am no where near feeling the way I thought I would by now. Being only 22 and 3 months away from my wedding, getting healthy is my top priority. I’m doing the research, trying diets/ supplements, and have decided to resume doctor’s visits. Through research I’m learning, rapidly, that I am not alone! This is an everyday battle that I’ve decided to share in hopes it will help myself and others!

Working to gain muscle and weight back

You see this all started about 8 months ago, stomach pains, bouts of nausea, emergency bathroom visits, weight loss, appetite loss, and the inability to tolerate food. Some days even water would cause severe pain in my lower stomach. After a few hospital visits, multiple tests, and desperation to feel better I followed my GI’s advice to have my gallbladder removed. After recovering I can say, this seemed to solve most of the problems… for about 3 weeks.

1 week post gallbladder removal

Slowly, every single one of my symptoms have returned. I’ve tried to convince myself that I’m just still recovering from surgery. Some days I feel like its all in my head. Other days all I want to do is sleep it all away! I do not want to live like this! I’m determined to figure out what is wrong and deal with it as best as possible!

I serve the most powerful God, who I know won’t give me more than I can handle. Even on my worst days when I ask Him, “Why me?”, I know deep in my heart there is a reason. Maybe its to make me more thankful for my health, which I can say I have definitely taken for granted before. Or maybe I can help someone else and bring awareness to this battle! Whatever it is, whatever the outcome I will trust in Him and continue to share my story.

special thanks to my family who has been beyond supportive in this
and I know will continue to be there no matter where the road leads next.
hope this helps someone else and thank you for taking the time to read.
