From Miss. to Mrs. B

Christmas has already come and gone, the New Year is less than 3 days away, and time seems to be perpetually speeding up. As the wedding becomes insanely close I can't help but reflect on the road that has brought us here. Two lives from different backgrounds, born states apart, seemingly not each other's type. Ha!... Now look at us almost 4 years together and I can honestly say I love that man more than I ever have before!

There is something so special about planning the first day of the rest of our lives together and I really just want to savor every moment. I have so much excitement for our big day coupled with nerves and sadness that in 100 and something days planning will be complete and I'll never be a bride again. I know that I'm totally crazy to be thinking about that already...

Our fourth Christmas together.

Now that the day finally feels close, 3 months and 19 days to be exact) our family and friends are getting super excited as well. Bridal shower plans are swirling around and I have a gut feeling the Best Bro has some tricks up his sleeve for the Groom-to-be! The moms are shopping for their perfect dresses and my father-in-law is always there willing to help anyway he can! Its truly a blessing to be surrounded by so much love and support.

I just want to wear a tutu and drink with my girls!

David and I have be crossing stuff off our To- Do List left and right! It feels so good knowing my beautiful dress is hanging in my closet and our extra room looks like my Pinterest board was born there. Its important to us that our wedding day be one-of-a-kind and really look like us as a couple and individuals. That's the main reason we decided, in the first stages of planning that we would do, almost, everything DIY. I love to be crafty and the thought of nights with nothing but me, a glass of wine, and my hot glue gun sounded like music to my ears.

Now I am knee deep in projects and loving every second of it. This bride is very pleased with the way everything is coming together. If there are any planning brides that have questions or want to know something specific about our planning process so far, please leave me a comment below!

I will let you all know that I have a binder containing all things Battaglia Wedding related and if that were to come up missing I'd probably have a nervous break down. #bridezilla Since this binder has been so instrumental I plan on doing a detailed post about what's in there and how I first started it. Keeping checking back for updates and thank you to all who have come by!
